About the 2025 Festival

The Filmlanthropy Festival, powered by Tfive Studios, is more than just a screening event—it's a post-production grant and a career accelerator for the filmmaking community. We believe in giving back to the artists who power our industry. Our unique two-track competition rewards filmmakers with tangible, high-value post-production services and professional marketing tools. If you have a killer script or a completed film, we want to invest in you. Join us for our two-part premiere event in April and see the future of filmmaking unfold!

Timeline

Submissions Open - October 1st
Submissions Close - December 21st. - Final deadline for all categories.
Judging Period - Dec. 15th - Early January
Winner Announcement - Early January - Filmlanthropy Plus production begins immediately.
Physical Premiere - April - The main festival event featuring all winning films from both categories.

Filmlanthropy Plus - 1 Script 1st Place - Full Post-Production (Editing, Sound, Color) with HDR Mastering, Plus a professional Trailer and Key Art.

Filmlanthropy Plus - 1 Script 2nd Place - Full Post-Production (Editing, Sound, Color) with HDR Mastering.

Filmlanthropy Plus - 1 Script 3rd Place - Full Post-Production (Editing, Sound, Color) with SDR Mastering.

Filmlanthropy - 2 Films - In-Kind Marketing Package: A professionally edited Trailer and custom Key Art for the film.

Rules & Guidelines

— Applicant ELIGIBILITY —
- Participants must be 16+ years old
- Participants under the age of 18 must have parent/teachers consent.
Any applicant who does not match the criteria is ineligible to participate.

— Rules for Filmlanthropy Plus Scripts —
- No A.i
- Script 10-15 pages
- English language
- Mandatory Equipment & Workflow: Winning filmmakers must shoot their film using Blackmagic Cameras (or a Blackmagic-supported camera app) and must use the Blackmagic Cloud system (BYOS) for all footage delivery to Tfive Studios. This is a non-negotiable condition of the prize.
- Timeline Commitment: The winning filmmaker must be ready to begin pre-production in January, film in February, and collaborate with Tfive Studios' post-production team in March to meet the April premiere date.
- Filming Device: Submissions are open to projects planning to shoot on either a professional Blackmagic camera or a Blackmagic-supported smartphone app.

— Rules for Filmlanthropy Submisisons —
- Content Requirement: Film must be completed and ready to screen at the time of submission.
- No Filming Device Restriction: This category accepts films shot on any camera system.

— Aditional Rules —
- Exclusivity: If selected, the film must agree to premiere at the Filmlanthropy Festival and on Streamsies Streaming Platform.
- Please provide a warning if your film is not suitable for children under the age of 14
- No promoting Self harm/Suicide
- No nudity
- No political promotion
- No slander of race, sex or religion. We all should know what is acceptable and what is no

Judging

The judging panel will consist of independent industry professionals.

The Tfive Studios team will conduct a technical feasibility review on the finalists of the Filmlanthropy Plus competition to ensure the projects are realistic to produce on the timeline.

T’s & C’s

1. Multiple entries from the same participant is welcome.

2. The decision of the festival selection committee will be final.

3. The excerpts from films sent for the Festival can be shown on our social networks/Youtube.

4. Films that are submitted must be the entrant’s original work and shall not infringe on any copyrights or any other rights of any third Parties. Contestants agree that they have obtained all required copyright permissions regarding music, sound & images. etc presented in their film.

5. Festival organizers reserve rights change, cancel or re-schedule the dates, venue, awards & categories without consent or information to contestants.

6. The organizers reserve the right not to award any or all of the prizes.
